About
Edward Sean Robinson is an accomplished social services community advocate and grassroots servant leader. A native of Detroit, Michigan, and raised in the heart of Ann Arbor’s historic community. Edward has lived in Bakersfield, California since 2018 where he worked as a Social Services Worker for Kern County Aging & Adult services in the In-Home Supportive Services division. From his tenure with the agency to date, his hands-on, result-oriented servant leadership is focused on empowering communities to get the results they deserve. Edward is not a career politician, but he emphasizes listening to the needs of the community members and stakeholders he serves.
Edward graduated from Hampton University in 2016 with his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Criminology, and recently The University of California Los Angeles, Anderson School of Management in 2025, where he earned and was awarded an Executive Education Alumni Certificate in Advanced Leadership & Management. He is currently pursuing his Master of Social Work degree from the California State University Bakersfield School of Social Work. Edward proudly served in the U.S. Army as an Infantry Rifleman, where the importance of teamwork, communication, and mission preparedness was reinforced. He is the President, CEO, and practicing social services advocate of Edward S. Robinson Enterprises LLC; a for-profit California Limited Liability Company seeking to bridge the gap between nonprofit and government agencies with the constituents they serve.
With nearly a decade of experience working with nonprofit and government agencies in addressing community needs through civic involvement initiatives, Edward has proven to be a relentless advocate for the communities he has served. He has received numerous acknowledgments for his leadership, including being elected in 2019 as the Third General Trustee to the Kern County Employees’ Retirement Association board on behalf of over 20,000 active, deferred, and retired members and their beneficiaries. Edward currently serves a deacon at Church of God Bakersfield, and as the Founder, President, and CEO of the Kern County Veterans Chamber of Commerce.
